Why play Fall Ball?
Fall Ball is a great way to prepare for next season and have some fun. Generally we have a very relaxed and casual atmosphere in our games, one of teaching kids the game of baseball and gaining valuable game experience.To help prepare we always base our basepaths and pitching distances upon next years rules. For example, a 13u player in 2009 will play based upon 14u basepaths and pitching distances in 2009 fall ball.
For 2009 KINGS SPORTS FALL BALL features several age divisions; Rookie League (6-8 yr olds), 9u - 13u, 14 & Under and 18u. Each age group can accommodate several teams being played at the home of our league, the Blue Ash Sports Center Complex. Team and Individual registrations are available.
We are expanding our league this year and offering both a "competitive" and "recreational" league. This will help us better match the needs of players and teams. With this new option we will also expand venues using fields in the Kings area and Deerfield Township. As players and teams register they will have an option to choose a "competitive" or "recreational" league. We will then reveiw these choices to make sure everyone is placed appropriately.
Kings Sports Fall Ball League Details
COST
The cost for the league is based upon on a team fee according to your age group. Based upon the age group, you will also need to pay umpires for each game. This will range from $25 - $35 per game depending upon the age group. The league will incurr the scheduling fees for umpires and make arrangements to have one (1) umpire on every game. We keep it to only one (1) umpire for fall ball to keep the cost low for everyone.
WHEN WE PLAY
Each year we work closely with participating teams to designate days for each age group. All of our games are weekends only and we will work with teams to meet their scheduling needs.
Game on Saturdays will be at 9:00am, 11:15am, 1:30pm, 3:45pm, 6:00pm and 8:15pm. Sundays will be 11:00am, 1:15pm, 3:45pm and 6:00pm. Teams can request not to play at certain times and the league will do their best to meet those requests.
Our schedule should be complete 7 - 10 days before the season begins on August 29th.
WHERE WE PLAY
We are very fortunate to have the use of the Blue Ash Sports Center. In addition, we will be expanding to Fleckenstein Park in Deerfield Township and other possible locations. We make sure the fields are lined and ready to play.
RULES
The rules are currently being developed and will be posted shortly. In general, we follow rules based upon the Southwest Ohio League.
